Thailand national team assistant Zoran Jankovic has been appointed to lead the U-23’s squad. The Serbian has replaced Worawoot Srimakha, who turns to support him as the assistant coach. Milovan Rajevac, coach of Thailand’s full national team, will be the adviser to the U-23 side. Srimakha completed his duty of guiding Thailand U-22 to SEA Games gold medal for a record seventh time, making the Young War Elephants the most successful among ASEAN football teams.
However, the formal Thailand international informed the FAT that he wanted to step down and only serve as an assistant coach of the side. Meanwhile, FAT technical chief Witthaya Laohakul revealed that he initially wanted Rajevac to also take charge of the U23 team, but the Serbian turned down the offer as he wants to focus on the senior national team. Zoran Jankovic have full support from Thailand FA and from positive comments of huge numbers of Thailand National Team supporters and funs. During pass six month of working time with national team he showed most wanted desire and enthusiasm in his work. As a award he got trust from FA charging this important role in developing new players for A senior team of Thailand.
